Everything You Need to Know About the Ontario PNP for Tech Occupations.

Canada is in desperate need of skilled tech candidates now more than ever. Ontario is Canada's largest province, both in terms of land area and population. It is attempting to meet the growing demand in the technology sector. One of the most popular methods for tech professionals is provincial immigration to Ontario.

Furthermore, the Express Entry system, the most common method of immigration, is currently declaring high cut-off scores. As a result, PNPs have piqued the interest of applicants seeking a provincial nomination. A provincial nomination adds 600 points to an Express Entry profile.

As a result, if you have experience in tech occupations and are looking for permanent residency, the OINP (Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program) for tech-skilled immigrants may be an option for you.

PNP in Ontario for immigrants with technical skills

In Canada, there is a high demand for tech workers. To meet this demand, the OINP's Human Capital Priorities stream conducts tech-specific draws. This Stream is a popular route for tech-skilled immigrants to settle in Canada.

OINP searches the pool of available Express Entry profiles for the NOC codes that correspond to the province's requirements. Following that, they handpick candidates based on other criteria. Through the Human Capital Priorities Stream, the candidates are then invited to relocate to Canada.

Allocations for the Ontario PNP (OINP) in 2022

The OINP was given 9,750 nominations in 2022, up from 8,600 in 2021. The OINP frequently reaches its allocations and is then given additional places. As a result, more than 10,000 candidates may be nominated this year.

So, if you work in technology and want to relocate to Ontario, you will have plenty of job opportunities.
